The rules are the same as for any same-day order. For delivery that evening, order by 2:30 PM, Monday to Saturday, for a 5:30 to 10:30 PM arrival. For same-day pickup, order by 4:00 PM. There are no same-day orders on Sundays. Everything else is a pre-order, which you can book from the day after tomorrow and up to 180 days ahead, and pre-order prices are lower than Express prices. Pickup is at 505 Hood Rd, Unit 10, Markham, and it is always free. Pickup slots run from 2 to 6 PM Monday to Saturday and from 1 to 2 PM on Sunday, and your cart shows the ones open on your date. Each day takes a limited number of cakes, so a popular date is worth booking early.

How much is delivery for a small order?

Delivery is $4.95 across the core GTA on orders from $30 to $85, free over $85, and $10.99 under $30. All three are before tax.

That matters for small cakes, because a single mini ($16.95 to $23.95) or a single 12 oz box (up to $20.95) is priced under $30 on its own. If you are having one delivered, adding a second item can move the order into the lower band. Pickup avoids the fee altogether.

How do I keep and serve a small cake?

Keep it cold, in its box, and serve it straight from the fridge. Put it in the fridge within an hour of it arriving or being collected, and do not freeze it, because freezing hurts the texture. There is no need to bring it up to room temperature first.

A cake should stay out of the fridge for no more than 2 hours in total, and 1 hour on a hot day. For the best result, eat it on the day, and refrigerate what is left overnight. If you are carrying a box home yourself, keep it flat on the floor of the car or in the trunk, away from the seats and your lap.
