Wedding & Engagement Cakes in Toronto
An elegant wedding cake doesn't have to mean a six-month custom commission. These are our most wedding-ready cakes — white and gold, soft florals, quiet modern lines — finished with 100% real dairy fresh cream at our Markham bakery and delivered across Toronto and the GTA. Book your date up to 180 days ahead in the cart calendar, add a hand-piped message for the toast, and for larger guest lists pair a 10-inch centrepiece with a second cake for the dessert table.

Planning the cake
How to plan a wedding or engagement cake without the stress
Most of the stress in wedding cake shopping comes from custom commissions — quotes, sketches, deposits. Every cake on this page skips that: it's a standard menu cake, so the design you see is the design that arrives, finished with freshly prepared real dairy cream at our Markham bakery. Dates book up to 180 days ahead in the cart calendar, so you can lock the cake in months early and forget about it. Want certainty on taste? Order any regular cake under $100 as your tasting first — and once your final wedding order passes $500, contact us and we'll credit that tasting cake back, up to 10% of the final order. And for guest lists beyond a 10-inch, pair two cakes — a centrepiece plus a second for the dessert table — rather than sizing up into a commission.
How far ahead to book
The cart calendar opens up to 180 days out, and standard cakes book from two days ahead. For a wedding, earlier is simply calmer — order once the date is fixed.
How much cake for your guest list
A 6-inch serves about 6–8, an 8-inch 12–14, a 10-inch 18–22. For 40 guests, two 10-inch cakes cover the room — and give you two designs to style the table with.
Getting it there on time
Delivery runs across Toronto and the GTA from $4.95, free over $79 in most areas. Standard windows are in the evening; for a midday event, add the midday window upgrade in the cart.
The tasting, credited back
Buy any regular cake under $100 to taste. When your final wedding order tops $500, contact us — we credit the tasting back, up to 10% of your order.
Wedding cake questions, answered
How far ahead should I order a wedding cake in Toronto?
You can book any open date in the cart calendar up to 180 days ahead, and standard cakes need at least two days' notice. For weddings and engagements, order as soon as your date is fixed — the cake is then done and off your list, and the price is the same either way.
How many people does one wedding cake serve?
Our cakes come in 6, 8 and 10 inch, serving roughly 6–8, 12–14 and 18–22. For larger receptions, pair two or more cakes — a practical setup is a 10-inch centrepiece on the main table plus a second cake cut in the kitchen.
Can I taste the cake before the wedding?
Yes — and your tasting is real cake, not a sample tray. Order any regular cake under $100 and try it at home. Then, if your final wedding order comes to more than $500, call +1 888-356-9099 or email Contact@ThePlaceToronto.com and we'll credit the tasting cake back, up to 10% of your final order — on an $800 order, a $70 tasting cake comes back in full.
Can the cake arrive before the reception starts?
Standard delivery windows across Toronto and the GTA run in the evening, from $4.95 and free over $79 in most areas. If your event starts earlier, choose the midday window upgrade in the cart, or arrange pickup from our Markham bakery at 505 Hood Rd, Unit 10.
Can you write on the cake for an engagement?
Yes — add a hand-piped message of up to 20 characters for $1 when you configure the cake. Names and dates fit nicely; for longer toasts, the card does a better job than the cake.
Is there a wedding cake option with no sugar added?
Yes — this page includes a keto, 0 sugar added cake sweetened with erythritol, monk fruit and stevia, finished with the same real dairy fresh cream. Set it out as a second cake so every guest gets a slice of the celebration.
