Thank you for choosing The Place for your specialty cakes and desserts. To ensure a smooth experience, please review our updated Delivery & Pickup Policy below. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

🛵 Local Delivery Policy

  • All cakes are freshly handcrafted and made to order. Please allow sufficient lead time as noted on each product page.

  • Delivery is available between 5:00 P.M. – 10:30 P.M. We cannot accommodate specific time requests within this window.

  • Unexpected delays may occur due to traffic, weather, or remote delivery locations. Delays within 60 minutes are considered within the normal delivery range and do not qualify for compensation.

  • A single delivery attempt will be made. 

  • No second delivery, refund, or compensation will be issued for:

    • Missed deliveries

    • Refused deliveries

    • Incomplete or incorrect recipient information

  • If no one is available to receive the cake in person, we are not responsible for any damage, loss, or spoilage after drop-off.

  • If your cake arrives with major damage (e.g. full collapse), you must take clear photos immediately and contact us in 2 hours. Upon verification, we will issue a full store credit.

  • You will receive a tracking link and/or a call before delivery. Please ensure someone is present during the scheduled window.

  • We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes or FPO addresses.

  • Once your order begins processing, no changes or cancellations can be made to the address, product, or recipient.

  • Orders placed after 5:00 P.M. (ET) will be processed the following business day.

  • Same-day and next-day cakes are available under designated categories.

  • Holiday and weekend deliveries are available with an added fee. Please contact us for confirmation.

🏪 Pickup Information

  • Pickup is available in Markham from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Monday to Saturday.

  • Walk-ins are welcome, but availability is not guaranteed without a pre-order. Please call ahead to confirm.

  • Pickup is not available on Sundays.

🎂 Specialty Orders

Delivery terms may vary for the following:

  • Custom-designed cakes

  • Fondant cakes

  • Event cakes

  • Catering or dessert tables
