What are the pickup hours in Markham?

Pickup slots run in one-hour blocks, from 2 to 6 PM Monday to Saturday and from 1 to 2 PM on Sunday. Holiday hours vary, and your cart shows the slots that are open on the date you choose.

A chosen slot is a guide to when you can arrive, not a promise that the cake will be ready the moment the slot begins. Wait for the email, then come.

If you are picking up on a date you booked ahead, you can order from the day after tomorrow and up to 180 days ahead. Pre-order prices are lower than same-day prices.

Can I get a cake the same day in Markham?

Yes, if you choose an Express cake and order by 4:00 PM for same-day pickup. Only cakes with Express in the name can be made same-day or next-day, and same-day service runs Monday to Saturday.

Delivery is also possible. Order by 2:30 PM, and the cake arrives that evening between 5:30 and 10:30 PM. The same-day page lists the Express cakes available now.

From the next day on, many postal codes can also choose an afternoon window, 1:30 to 5:00 PM, which is free in most areas and adds $9.95 or $14.95 in some. Your cart shows the one that applies to you.

If you are ordering for someone else in Richmond Hill or Vaughan, put their address in the cart and make sure someone will be home to receive the cake. The delivery address cannot be changed once the order is being prepared, so check it before you pay.

Should I pick up or have it delivered?

Delivery also gives you a tracking link by email or a call before arrival. If the cake arrives damaged, you contact The Place within 2 hours; approved claims receive store credit.

If you do pick up, the car ride is the part to plan. Put the box flat on the floor of the car or in the trunk, not on a seat and not on your lap, and carry it gently. Avoid sharp braking and turns. In summer run the air conditioning and keep the cake out of the sun, and in winter do not let it freeze. Book early for popular dates, because each day takes a limited number of cakes. If an allergy is involved, say so in the cart note and confirm with the team before you order.
