The Place has six ready-made anniversary and engagement cakes, from $62.95 for a 6 inch, delivered across Toronto and the GTA or collected free in Markham. An anniversary or engagement cake has a job to do: it marks the moment, then it gets cut and shared. Our menu has a small, focused set of love-themed designs for that, plus a few easy ways to size and time the order. What anniversary and engagement cakes can I order in Toronto?

The Anniversary and Engagement collection has six cake designs and one box of cupcakes. The designs run from a pink-hearts message cake to a lilac angel with a bow, and they come in 6, 8 and sometimes 10 inch. The table sets them side by side, using the description on each product page. All prices are pre-order from-prices at the time of writing.

The eggless option covers the cake layers and cream only, and cannot be combined with 0 Sugar Added or Keto. Express means the design also has a same-day or next-day version.

How do I choose the right design?

Start with the mood you want on the table, then check the size. The six designs fall into a few moods, and the product descriptions make the differences easy to read.

• Direct and affectionate. Romance has cherub figures and a bold red heart, which is as plain a declaration as a cake can make. It suits an anniversary that wants to say the obvious thing out loud.
• Warm and sentimental. Eternal Love has heart details, a sweet bear figure and touches of red and gold. It is offered in 6 and 8 inch, so it fits a dinner for two or a small gathering.
• Light and playful. Love Bloom puts a bold love-message motif with pink hearts on the table. It is the lowest-priced of the six, starting at $62.95.
• Soft and floral. Wishing Well, with its smiling angel, pink-and-white flowers and pearl-like accents, reads as gentle and celebratory.
• Dramatic and elegant. Celestial Charm brings lilac, ivory, an angel figure and a statement bow, and sits at the top of the range.
• Delicate and simple. Macarons wears a pastel crown, and it is the one design in this collection with an Express version.

Hearts also turn up outside the collection. Retro Romance Heart, a heart-shaped cake in pink-and-white swirls, lives with the designer cakes, so check there if you want the shape itself.

What size cake do I need for an anniversary or engagement?

A 6-inch cake serves 6 to 8 normal dessert slices, an 8-inch serves 12 to 14, and a 10-inch serves 18 to 22. These are guides only, and the sizes stretch further if you cut small coffee slices: about 12, 20 to 24 and 30 to 38.

Prices follow the same steps. At the time of writing, an 8-inch Love Bloom starts at $92.95 and serves 12 to 14 dessert slices, while a 10-inch Romance starts at $169.95 and serves 18 to 22. The step from one size to the next adds between $30 and $40 across this collection, so the guest count is usually a better guide to size than the budget.

Can I order an anniversary or engagement cake for tomorrow?

Only Macarons in this collection has an Express version, so it is the one that can be made for same-day or next-day. Order by 2:30 PM, Monday to Saturday, for delivery tonight between 5:30 and 10:30 PM, or by 4:00 PM for same-day pickup in Markham. Sundays take pre-orders only.

Every other design is a pre-order cake. Book it from the day after tomorrow, or browse the Express cake collection for a cake that can be made tonight. You can book it from the day after tomorrow, up to 180 days ahead, and pre-order prices are lower than Express prices. Daily capacity is limited, so dates that many people want can fill. An engagement party date is usually fixed early, so booking as soon as the date is confirmed leaves the whole menu open.

Can I send an anniversary cake as a surprise?

Yes, as long as someone is there to receive it. We deliver across Toronto and the core GTA every day, and the evening window is 5:30 to 10:30 PM. You get a tracking link or a phone call before the cake arrives, and delivery has one attempt only. For apartments and condos, standard delivery goes to the building entrance or lobby, and Door-to-Door can be added in the cart for a unit.

Core GTA delivery is $4.95 for orders between $30 and $85, and free over $85. Every 8-inch design here is over $85, so delivery is free on those, while the 6-inch Love Bloom, Macarons and Eternal Love fall under it. These figures are a guide; your cart shows the final fee.

Is there a version with 0 Sugar Added or without egg?

Yes to both, with limits. Most of the cakes in this collection offer a Make it eggless option for +$5, which covers the cake layers and the cream. Decorations and add-ons may still contain egg, and our kitchen handles eggs every day.

For 0 Sugar Added, look beyond the collection. The 0 Sugar Added collection includes cakes with a romantic look. Dreamy Pastel, for instance, has ornate borders in blue and blush for what its page calls vintage romance, and starts from $79.95 for a 6 inch. Retro Charm has bow details and pastel borders. The 0 Sugar Added cakes use the same fresh cream without cane sugar, and the Keto (flourless) versions skip the flour. Eggless cannot be combined with either version.

How should I serve the cake safely?

Take off the candles, ribbon, any wire and any fresh flowers before you cut, and keep small decorative parts away from young children. Keep the cake in its box on the floor of the car or in the trunk, lying flat, and refrigerate it within an hour of arrival. Do not freeze it.

A cake is at its best the day it arrives, and leftovers keep in the fridge overnight.
