Terms and Conditions for Local Delivery

Since all The Place cakes and bakery products are handcrafted with proficient technique, we require a few days to prepare shipping. Please refer to the product page and the following delivery information:

•  All cakes and bakery products can be ordered online and picked up in-store. Walk-in directly is a great welcome, however, there is no guarantee of the product availability in-store. Please contact us before you come to the store.
•  Please check the product page for shipping details, product availability or manufacturing lead time.
• To ensure food safety and delivery quality, all deliveries will be made between 6 P.M. to 10 P.M.(we cannot specify a time slot for delivery),  and cannot be collected unless we receive the delivery instructions and responsibility waived in advance.
•  We are unable to replace items due to the recipient being unavailable at the time of delivery, however, we will contact you on the day just before we send out your order. Please make sure you are available at delivery time slot.
•  Due to fresh cake restrictions, only one delivery can be made. If not deliverable, the cake will be returned to the retail store and must be picked up in 24 hours. No second delivery attempt will be made.  
•  We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes and FPO addresses.
•  We will NOT be able to change the delivery address, content, or recipient information or cancel the order once we start processing your order. 
•  Orders placed after 7:00 P.M. (ET) will be processed the next day. All orders placed on Sundays and statutory holidays will be processed on the next workday.
•  Same or next-day cakes are available under specific categories.
•  Holiday and weekend delivery is available, extra fee may be applied. Contact customer service for details and confirmation.

Delivery terms for Personal design cakes, Designer desserts, Event cakes, Dessert tables, Catering and some fondant cakes may vary, please check with Customer Service for more details.

Place an Order

Thank you very much for choosing The Place. please make sure you select the pick-up/delivery date on the shopping cart page before checkout. Please contact us for any change requests as soon as you need. We will try to accommodate you but this is not a guarantee.

The cutoff time for orders is 7 pm Eastern Time, for any next-day needs that are later than 7 pm, please select the Same/Next Day Cake category to ensure we are available to you.

Our business hours are Monday through Saturday. Any orders placed on Sundays or holidays will be processed on the next business day.

Return and Refunds 

All the sales of cakes, desserts and customized cakes are FINAL and  NONREFUNDABLE  once processed. All items are non-returnable unless you have received the wrong cake or dessert. In that case, you have the option of an exchange or refund. However, you must return the incorrectly delivered cake.

The product pictures are of the actual products we make, but due to display differences and the water-soluble nature of fresh cream, improper storage, as well as over time, can lead to changes in color. The color of the final product may slight vary from the pictures. Therefore, we are unable to issue refunds or replacements for disputes over color differences. Thank you for your understanding. 

Order changes or cancellations

For standard products, you may request a change or cancellation 5 business days before your chosen pick-up/delivery date. Due to the production process and preparation needs, we are unable to provide requests for changes or cancellations within 5 business days, even if all our cakes are made on the same day.

For custom cakes and any event cakes, the dessert table requires at least 15 days' notice of change. Any change requests made within 15 days will not be honoured. Orders cannot be cancelled for custom cakes.

If you have to cancel your order, only a store credit refund will be applied. If you need a refund to the original payment method, we will deduct 8% of the card processing fee charged by the payment processing agency. No refund will be made in 10 days before your required date.
